I Did Not Die, But Lived!
I Did Not Die, But Lived
to declare the mighty things the Lord has done!
After 5 weeks of ministry in Alaska, Jody and I were excited to return home to Florida and see what the Lord had next for us. We were scheduled to go to Virginia for five meetings and on up to Maryland.
Over the next 2 weeks my body experienced physical symptoms that became so severe, a visit to the doctor was required. I was examined and diagnosed as having chronic bronchitis and put on a strong anti-biotic for 7 days.
On the 8th day, we visited our family in South Florida. The next day the symptoms came back more severe than ever and we went to the ER at JFK Medical Center for an evaluation. After a series of tests over 3 hours, I was admitted to the Critical Care Unit with Multiple Pulmonary Embolisms. It was a life threatening situation!
These clots had traveled up my leg, through my heart, and lodged in the Pulmonary Artery of my left lung. There was also a shower of clots in my right lung. The lower part of both my lungs had collapsed and died due to a lack of oxygen and blood supply.
Praise GOD! We can declare and decree, with positive medical evidence from three weeks after leaving the hospital, my doctor has performed procedures that prove I am totally healed! I have been released to resume a normal lifestyle and my oxygen level is back to 97% ~ absolutely NO LUNG nor can HEART DAMAGE be found.
Regardless of the circumstances, Jody and I continued to stand strong on the Word of GOD. Our Pastors, family, and dear friends joined us in faith.
Psalms 118:17-25 ~ I shall not die , but live , and declare the works of the LORD. The LORD hath chastened me sore : but he hath not given me over unto death. Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter. I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.”
Psalm 23 ~ The LORD is my shepherd ; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies : thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalms 91 ~ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust . Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust : his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet . 14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high , because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Isaiah 53:5 ~ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 ~ Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Exodus 15:26 ~ For I AM the LORD THY GOD that health thee!
