The Lord Remembers Every Offering!

Acts 10:1

Cornelius was a devout man who respected God with reverential obedience.  “He gave much alms and prayed to God always.” One day the Angel of God came to visit Cornelius and he said to him: “Thy prayers and thy alms have come up as a MEMORIAL before God.”

Defintion of the word *Memorial:

a (1) :  a lasting evidence, reminder, or example of someone or something notable or great (2) :  a distinguished person

b :  a memorial stone or a building erected in remembrance of a person or event.

"Monument." Merriam-Webster.com. Merriam-Webster, n.d. Web. 11 Sept. 2014. <http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/monument>

Through his much prayers and his much giving by Cornelius, a memorial was established with God. His act of reverence opened the door for the Gospel to be preached to the Gentiles. Acts 10:1-4.

The King James Translation of Acts 10:31:  “… thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in REMEMBRANCE in the sight of God.

The Amplified Bible expands the meaning: 31 And he said, Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and harkened to, and your donations to the poor have been known and PRESERVED before God [so that He heeds and is about to help you].

In verse 5, notice the Lord speaks to Cornelius and gives him specific instructions. Cornelius has just been called into the ministry and used mightily of God to send a vital message to Peter. The Gospel is now made available to everyone.

Wow! Think about that! Meditate on that! Selah!

Psalm 20:4 "The Lord remembers every offering! Selah!"

Who wouldn't like to be used of the Lord like Cornelius?

Your giving is for your benefit. You lay up treasure for yourself in Heaven. Always, follow the direction of the Lord, in your giving to reach people with the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ. For the Gospel is the POWER of God unto salvation!

Jesus is coming very soon!

May the Lord richly bless you!
