Open Doors to Open Hearts

Is Partnership Misunderstood?

If you have been a Christian for any amount of time, you would probably agree... and if you're like me, you have probably wondered and even questioned "What's the Point of Partnership?"

You've probably said in your heart, "All they ever do for me is ask me for my money...

"I'm doing all the giving and they are doing all the getting and all the going...

"I give in every "need based offering" but I am the one in need..."

Sound familiar?

This teaching will deal with the Point of Partnership that I have never heard about in the hundreds of Partner phone bank appeal-for-money calls, letters, and emails that I have received over the years.

You deserve to know what I have learned...

Think about the Point of Partnership:

1:  Partnership is always a MATTER of the HEART!

Jesus' lifestyle of giving resulted by following the example of His Father.

John 5:19

So Jesus explained, "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

I love the scripture in John that sets us on the appropriate giving course. John 3:16-17 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave[g] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

It begins with our receiving the greatest Gift given by the greatest Giver of all gifts. Jesus was ultimately giving himself to the Religious and the Government Authorities of the day on our behalf. He was the Gospel message that turned the world and history upside down. He was giving himself to be arrested, tortured, tried, and hung on a cross to die. He was giving Himself as a ransom for our sin. We can understand this scripture of giving is founded in love. John 15:13 There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends.

We understand. His Disciples didn't.

Here is where we find their understanding of Jesus. His disciples have witnessed and benefited from his continual giving, however, they still don't recognize it as part of the Character of Christ they must adopt and develop in their lives. However, it is nearly impossible because there is no Holy Ghost and Fire on the inside of them yet!

Many of the Disciples closest to Jesus thought they really knew Jesus. They walked with Him on many adventures in faith. They witnessed miracle after miracle of provision and countless healing. They saw the Blessing of Abraham manifested upon and through upon His life. They even saw and heard the approval of Father God toward Jesus. Yet, they did not truly understand the Father's heart nor Jesus  heart.

Jesus spoke plainly and they didn't understand. He spoke in the dark sayings of parables and they didn't comprehend the meaning. They didn't understand their role in giving and in Partnership for spreading the Good News of the Gospel.

Matthew 25:35 - 45  For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink?38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[a] you were doing it to me!’41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.[b]

42 For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. 43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

44 “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’

45 “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to

help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.

While these Disciples of Jesus directly benefited from much of what Jesus did for others, they had not adopted His lifestyle of giving, but tended to be satisfied and totally dependent upon the Master's giving. However, shortly they would see a well thought out selfless act of giving by the least likely in their society. It would be a wake-up call to the greater point of Partnership.

Partnership is about exchanging the fake, the false, the cult, the demonic culture for the Truth of the Gospel that will change their heart, their lives, their homes, their destinies!

That's what we do when we bring the fullness of the Gospel message to those people we are assigned to in this Country, and dwelling in  other nations on earth.

Please, consider PARTNERING with the Lord to impact another generation with the goodness of God in the land of the Living and preparing a people for the soon coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as we go through the Open Doors, during the remainder of this year, and the beginning of next year through CASTING OUR WORLDWIDE NET. With over 36 Nations watching our programs, we know countless communities are being shaken upside down by the Word of Faith we preach and teach and minister through every broadcast.

A Holy Exchange Takes Place in PARTNERSHIP.

When Mary anointed Jesus for his burial the fragrance of her gift was evident throughout the room, throughout His Crucifixion, throughout His Burial, throughout His Resurrection - and where ever the Gospel is still preached...

Even today her breaking of her Alabaster Box prepared the Gospel to go forward.

She broke her Alabaster Box because she loved Jesus,

and she understood if it were not for him, she would have died in her sin... the curse of the law would be upon her for all eternity.

Your PARTNERSHIP with the Lord does a similar thing. The lost need to know Jesus was the price paid for their sin, becoming the sin of the curse of the law. Jesus was crucified, died, buried, and rose again that they might have an abundant forgiven born-again life. The lost need someone to come and show them the Gospel. And, when you PARTNER with Lord, the anointing that we have on us comes upon you. As you go forward through the Open Doors only God has opened for you - you will impact a people only you can reach!

Matthew 26:6-13

While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper,

7 a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor. Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11 The poor you will always have with you,[3] but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.

Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.

Luke 7:36-50

When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table.

A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume.

As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself,

“If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”

“Tell me, teacher,” he said.

“Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii,[5] and the other fifty. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”

Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”

“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.

Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

The other guests began to say among themselves,

“Who is this who even forgives sins?”

Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
