"ARE YOU RAPTURE READY?"
🔥☁️ THIRSTY THURSDAY ☁️🔥
ARE YOU RAPTURE READY?
The question is not whether Jesus is coming. The question is whether you are ready when He does.
⏱️ 5 Minute Read
Have you ever wondered what it will be like when Jesus comes for His own and we are caught up to meet Him? I have wondered about that ever since I was seventeen years old.
❤️ A DREAM I WILL NEVER FORGET
Before I became a believer, I had a dream.
“The landscape was almost completely covered in fog, something familiar to me because I grew up in an oceanside town. Then, diagonally across from where I was sitting, Jesus came out of the fog and stood before me.
He never spoke, but as He looked into my eyes, it was as though He poured liquid love into me. For the first time, I knew what it felt like to be completely loved. It was a not human or conditional love, but holy, pure, innocent, complete love flowing from His eyes into mine. Jesus never spoke a word. He was the word. I heard, felt, and saw love.
No fear. No judgement. No condemnation. No anger. He was the love flowing from His eyes into mine filling every crevice of my being!”
When I awoke I had an unequivocal desire to find Him and know Him. It was as though Jesus left the 99 to come rescue me. ❤️
Years later, when I read Revelation 1, I recognized something I had never been able to explain: “His eyes were like a flame of fire.”
Revelation 1:14
The same Jesus who looked into my eyes as pure love, is the Jesus who will come for His church with fire in His eyes!
☁️🔥❤️
👑 HE IS COMING FOR HIS OWN
Jesus gave the church this promise:
“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly!”
Revelation 3:10–11
Christians understand this promise in different ways. Some believe it refers to protection through a worldwide trial, while others understand it as Christ keeping His faithful people from that period altogether. Either way, the passage calls us to perseverance, faithfulness, and confidence in Him
Jesus also said:
“Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
Revelation 2:10
The Lord is coming.
The question is: ARE YOU READY? 👀☁️👑
🪻 TWO CHURCHES SHOW US FAITHFULNESS
Smyrna and Philadelphia give us powerful examples of believers who remained faithful to Christ. Smyrna was poor in the eyes of the world but rich in Christ. They endured tribulation and faced the threat of imprisonment and death.
Yet Jesus told them:
“Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
Revelation 2:10
Smyrna shows us faithfulness under pressure. They did not abandon Christ when following Him became difficult or deny His name when obedience came with a price. Their faith said, I will walk with Jesus no matter what it costs me.
🔥
Philadelphia had little strength, but Jesus said:
“You have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”
Revelation 3:8
They kept His Word and refused to deny His name. Jesus set before them an open door no one could shut and promised to keep them from the hour of trial.
Whatever view we take of the timing and meaning of that promise, Philadelphia clearly shows us a church that perseveres in faith and obedience while waiting for Christ.
Watching. Waiting. Obeying. Expecting.
🕯️ Their lamp is burning. They are not spiritually asleep or treating sin lightly while claiming His name.
🕯️ ARE YOUR LAMP AND GARMENTS READY?
In the parable of the wise and foolish virgins, the wise were ready when the cry came at midnight. They had oil and were prepared. The foolish were not. The parable emphasizes watchfulness and warns us not to presume upon a future opportunity to prepare. We must be ready for the Bridegroom’s coming.
So we must examine our own hearts.
Not someone else’s.
Ours.
❤️
Are you faithful when life becomes difficult? Are you humble under pressure and willing to suffer rather than deny Jesus? Are you keeping His Word and watching for His appearing? Are you trusting Christ to cleanse and preserve you while turning away from sin and pursuing holiness? Or have you become comfortable playing with sin while carrying the name of Jesus?
Jesus gave this sobering warning:
“I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”
Matthew 7:23
Mere profession is not enough. A prayer prayed years ago is not a substitute for genuine faith and ongoing surrender to Jesus.
Our readiness does not earn salvation. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Christ. Yet genuine faith produces repentance, obedience, perseverance, and a desire to remain faithful to Him.
The question is not simply, Did I once say I believe?
The question is:
AM I TRULY IN HIM?
☁️🔥 THE CLOUD OF HIS GLORY
I believe the Rapture is the catching up of believers to meet the Lord, as described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51–52.
Christians differ on its timing and on how it relates to the tribulation and Christ’s visible return. I understand Scripture to teach that Jesus will come for His people, and I want to be found trusting Him, faithful to Him, and ready for His appearing.
Readiness is not a way of earning a place in Christ. It is the posture of a believer abiding in Him—walking in humility, obeying His Word, enduring with Him, refusing to make peace with sin, and watching for Him.
Smyrna and Philadelphia belong together:
Suffering and faithfulness.
Humility and obedience.
Endurance and expectation.
This is the life of a believer who is ready.
❤️ SEARCH MY HEART, LORD
Today, I am asking the Lord to search me.
Is there any sin hidden in me?
Is there any area where I am compromising?
Am I spiritually awake?
Am I trusting Christ, watching, and obeying?
Am I humble under pressure and willing to endure rather than deny Him?
Am I living like someone who expects Jesus to appear to me in His cloud of glory?
🙏 PRAYER
Lord Jesus, please forgive me. I turn my back on sin, I turn my back on the ways of the world, and I follow you. Please a be my Lord and Savior. Cleanse me from all sin, and it’s stain in my soul, strengthen me by Your grace, and teach me to walk in holiness and obedience. Fill me with Your precious Holy Spirit! I forgive everyone who has ever hurt me, abused me, said one bad things to me of my family, because you Jesus forgive me. Let me be found in You, truly in You. I am looking and expecting You to appear in Your glory. I will win soul sins to you until you appear. Thank You for filling me with fresh fire, a holy boldness to preach Your Gospel, a hunger for Your word, and a deep passion to know You more and more. Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
Amen. ❤️
